The North Interlake Region of Manitoba continues to be a
great spot for trophy whitetail deer hunting. This area consistently produces high ratios
of Pope & Young (P&Y) and Boone & Crockett (B&C) typical and
non-typical whitetails.
Ron Chekosky and guides, being lifetime residents and full time operators, have
a great deal of insight on deer populations and their movements.

Our pre-rut and rut hunts allow archery, black powder,
and rifle hunters their best opportunity for success. With enclosed portable
tree stands positioned in areas of scrapes and travel routes, shooting is
normally at close range. And we have ground blinds available. Rattling and
deer calling are very productive with the high buck-to-doe ratio. Many hunters
enjoy their first opportunity to rattle in their first bucks after a short
instruction session from our staff. Lifetime memories of deer coming to a
rattling sequence are the 'norm' with us at Big Antler Outfitters.
Our area, located on the fringe of agriculture, sees us
hunting the big bush, accessing remote areas never hunted before. With a
complete line of modern equipment providing access to these remote pockets of
deer, we have produced quality bucks for the past fifteen years.
Horn mass and body size indicate a quality that convinces most
seasoned whitetail hunters to return and hunt with us year after year.
Being accomplished bowhunters, our staff has the
insight to set stands in prime locations offering our hunters the best
opportunity for harvesting P&Y deer.
In the past three years, we have taken trophy
animals with the introduction of a muzzle loader season. This season has become
extremely popular, with the close range shooting we offer. Accommodations for
all whitetail hunts is the choice of the hunter. Our main lodge, modern cabins
or remote tent camps all have proven very successful over the years. A quick
phone call to some of our references may help you decide.
