The North Interlake Region of Manitoba continues to be a
great spot for trophy whitetail hunts. This area consistently produces high ratios
of Pope & Young (P&Y) and Boone & Crockett (B&C) typical and
non-typical whitetails.
Ron Chekosky and his guides, who are all lifetime residents and full time operators, have
a great deal of insight on whitetail populations and their movements.

Our pre-rut and rut whitetail bowhunts allow for a high chance of success. Utilizing portable and
enclosed
tree stands positioned near scrapes and travel routes, our shooting is
normally at close ranges. And of course ground blinds are always available. Rattling
and grunt calling are very productive methods given our high buck-to-doe ratio. After
a short lesson from our staff, many hunters
enjoy their first opportunity to rattle in their first buck. Rattling in
huge bucks is rapidly becoming the 'norm' with us at Big Antler Outfitters.
The area where we bowhunt is located on the upper limits
of agriculture, areas never hunted before. With a complete line of modern
gear providing access to these never pressured pockets of
huge whitetails, we have produced trophy deer for more than a decade.
Body size along with horn mass combine for a quality trophy which convinces
even the most
seasoned trophy whitetail hunters to return year after year.
As accomplished bowhunters, our staff has the insight to
set stands in prime spots offering our hunters the best opportunity for
harvesting P&Y whitetails.
In the past three seasons, we've taken trophy
animals during our newly introduced muzzle loader season. Black powder
hunting has become
extremely popular, especially with the close range shooting we have to offer.
The hunter is free to choose his accommodations for
all our Manitoba trophy whitetail hunts. We have the main lodge, modern cabins
and remote
tent camps, all of which have proven very successful throughout the years. A
phone call to some of our references may make your choice easier.
