Manitoba, Canada. Big Antler specializes in bow/rifle trophy hunts. Owner Ron Chekosky is a life time resident of the area and been in operation for 20 years. His background includes farming, trapping, flying and his competitive nature has provided him the 'edge', so essential in this business. Ron's love of the 'bush' has enabled him to harvest many big game animals which include Pope & Young (P&Y) deer, bear, elk and three bull moose. He has also hunted throughout North America for mule deer, grizzly bear and cougar. These experiences have provided him the insight and challenge for commitment to the effort required to produce quality trophy hunts.
Big Antler Outfitter is a North American Hunting Club (NAHC) approved outfitter and also has been selected as one of the outfitters in 'Top Guide' publications and takes great pride in having accomplished that status. Ron's full time commitments to the outfitting business includes serving on the provincial executive of the Manitoba Lodge and Outfitters Association (MLOA) for the past six years. His involvement
here is to establish a solid provincial organization and in turn, long term viability for the industry.
Big Antler Outfitter's guides, the grassroots of the operation and lifetime residents of the area, also share the love of the 'bush' and responsibility to the honest effort required to provide a quality hunt. Over the years Big Antler Outfitters has invested in new lodges, new areas and new equipment necessary to provide memorable trophy hunts and our pledge will continue.
